This is Scott.
he owns a bookstore at Marine Drive.
this is a really nice little book store. there are many artifacts and statues that Scott collected from all over the place for his entire life.
he has been doing this for 10years. his old bookstore is at Commercial Drive. He said that is not a safe and well-educated area and the needs for books is not that high.Then he discoverd that there is no bookstores all the way from longsdale to squamish. therefore he decided to move his store to west vancouver.
when he was younger, he used to get up at 5 or 6 o'clock and go to churches or flea markets to buy books. the whole store is his lifetime collection. books are his life.
he is sophisticated from all the reading. plus he is super nice. its really easy to communicate with him and you can discover tons of joy from having a conversation with Scott.
all the customers seemed to know Scott very well. i have been here a lot of times but today is the first time that ive ever talked to him.
he organizes the books carefully and gently as if they're his children.
he also does some woodwork to make little signs or wooden statues. and his works are really amazing.
